Kristen O’Gorman is a Principal in SCB’s Boston office, where she has helped lead the growth of the firm’s science and technology practice. Kristen brings over a decade of experience and a diverse portfolio of work in Greater Boston, including numerous life science projects, commercial office, adaptive re-use, and university projects. Her thoughtful approach to design considers how architecture can have an impact across multiple scales; from how an individual user experiences the space, to how the building as a whole can have a positive impact on the public realm.
Kristen’s design process is highly collaborative and engaging; working closely with clients from the drawing of the first line through the delivery and realization of their vision. Her experience spans projects of all sizes and complexities, ranging from large-scale, ground-up new construction to smaller, adaptive re-use and renovations. She understands the importance of sustainability and resiliency and how to balance efficiencies and use moderation while creating beautiful and healthy spaces. Currently, she is leading the design for several large ground up projects, including the recently approved Hartwell Labs in Lexington, MA, one of the first anchor developments along a new life science corridor.
Kristen is a member of the American Association of Architects (AIA) and NCARB, and is a LEED Green Associate. She is also a member of NAIOP. She received her Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University.
