Gail Wozniak is an Associate Principal with SCB’s national Campus Environments practice group. Gail’s practice is dedicated to creating spaces that support student life, encourage meaningful interaction, and spur collaboration. In her 15+ year career at SCB, she has worked on over 35 campuses across the country, programming and designing the interiors of academic buildings, dining facilities, student centers, and residence halls.
In her role as Senior Programmer, Gail has worked with numerous colleges and universities across the country to identify goals, prioritize needs, and plan for growth. She believes that the most successful projects result from a highly engaging and inclusive programming process, one that involves a broad range of campus stakeholders, from faculty and staff, to campus planning and design teams, to students. Some of Gail’s recent projects include the renovation of the ResCo Residence Hall and Dining Facility at Butler University, the new Craftsman Student Housing at CalPoly Humboldt, the Kendall College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management at National Louis University, the new Pennoni Honors College and renovation of Bentley Hall at Drexel University, and the Academic and Residential Complex at the University of Illinois, Chicago, which was recognized with a national AIA Education Facility Design Award.
In addition to her campus work, Gail has led many of the firm’s pro-bono projects for organizations and institutions serving under-resourced communities. She is an active volunteer and Associate Board Member at Designs for Dignity, an organization that provides pro-bono design services and in-kind donations to nonprofit organizations. Gail holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design and is an NCIDQ certified interior designer as well as a LEED Accredited Professional.
