Brian Romanelli and Rob Meder Announced as Studio Leaders

SCB announces the promotions of Brian Romanelli, AIA, and Rob Meder, AIA, to Studio Leaders in Chicago.

Brian has led multiple complex projects across SCB, ranging from residential and mixed-use to hospitality, adaptive reuse, aviation, and education, and will be leading an Architecture Studio in Chicago.  He has distinguished himself as a collaborative leader who brings thoughtfulness and rigor to each project delivery. Brian’s current projects include Wind Creek Chicago Southland Casino & Hotel, 1234 W. Randolph, and the United Clubs at Houston and Washington Dulles Airports.

“Brian’s deep expertise and leadership style has not only strengthened our client relationships but also significantly impacted our design teams and project work,” says SCB Principal Devon Patterson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C. “His ability to inspire and guide teams towards high-performance outcomes establishes him as a natural leader at SCB.”

Rob will be leading SCB’s Aviation Studio in Chicago. Rob’s expertise in programming and design and exceptional technological skills has guided design teams across all scales of aviation project work nationwide. As founder of SCB’s Aviation Research and Development Committee, Rob has shown his capacity to foster a culture of learning and curiosity. He has most recently been working on the O’Hare Global Terminal project.

“Rob’s extensive experience across a diverse range of aviation projects, along with his dedication to mastering the intricacies of this specialized building type, positions him exceptionally well to lead the Aviation Studio with expertise and vision,” says SCB Principal Martin Wolf, FAIA.
