Inside, SCB took inspiration from the atmosphere of the world’s first and oldest casino in Venice, transporting guests to a new experience. The second floor of the hotel overlooks the casino lobby on the ground floor below with VIP and guest check-in areas, conference and ballroom facilities, and large exterior glass windows overlooking the site. The first levels of the hotel contain hints of stone elements and carved shapes inspired by the quarry, contrasting raw versus refined materials that dissolve while moving up the tower into luxurious opulence. Invoking the excitement and theatricality of the Venice casino, the Wind Creek Hotel interior experience expresses the character of sophisticated, bejeweled ladies trying their hand at luck. Rich materials throughout the hotel are accentuated by furnishings that are curvilinear and soft.

Guestroom corridors with rounded portals continue this glamorous motif in dark porcelain. Each guestroom offers a sultry, alluring, rich ambiance to match the dramatic experience encapsulated by the entire hotel and casino development. Bespoke sculptural lighting that mimics glinting jewelry highlights metallic luxe accent materials throughout the arrival spaces. The elevator lobby and matching cabs feature light porcelain with metal door surrounds in dark, earthy tones.

The upper floors include a spa and roof top restaurant. The wellness focused floor is appointed with warm stone and wood detailing for the salon, pool and sauna, and treatment rooms while the roof top restaurant has high vaulted ceilings and an outdoor dining terrace with view of downtown Chicago.
