As an Associate Principal and Senior Architect, Shannon Farrell has 15+ years of experience in architecture and design. Shannon is involved from project inception to completion, overseeing the entire arc of the design and implementation of the project and serving as a primary contact for the clients, consultants, and construction teams. Her management style fosters a strong, integrated team, nurturing the next generation of designers and leaders for the firm.
Throughout her career, Shannon has built a diverse design portfolio specializing in complex, large-scale adaptive reuse projects in urban settings worldwide. Past projects have been published in the New York Times, Arch Daily, Metropolis, Dezeen, and Dwell. At SCB, Shannon is part of the leadership team on the Windcreek Hotel and Casino, a 480,000 square-foot hospitality project outside of Chicago; 2811 Kirby, a 38-story mixed-use development in Houston; 225 W. Randolph, a renovation of a historic tower in Downtown Chicago, and 128 Spring Street, a 5 over 2 residential multi-family project in Everett, Mass.
Shannon received her Bachelor and Master of Science in Architecture from Tulane University. She is a licensed architect in New York and Massachusetts, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a member of the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), and The Hospitality Industry Network (NEWH).
