Renee Sprogis-Marohn is a Principal and Chief Operating Officer at SCB where she has been instrumental in building the firm’s interiors practice which encompasses corporate, higher education, and multi-family residential projects. This diversity of project type has created a studio that addresses a well-rounded approach to modern “work-learn-live” sensibilities, and has resulted in expanding the award-winning portfolio of the interiors team.
Renee is a licensed architect with over 20 years of experience in the practice of architecture and interior design, and is equipped with the technical knowledge base critical to the success of any project. Her background includes projects in residential, institutional, and corporate markets. Based on her sustained public service in the municipal sector, she is also well-versed in governmental code issues and challenges. In addition to her responsibilities as a Studio Leader, Renee has served as Project Director for all of SCB’s United Club and United Polaris lounge projects at 25+ airports worldwide, the Hinshaw & Culbertson headquarters in Chicago Illinois, and 20 office locations across the country for Huron Consulting Group.
Renee is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She was an elected official as a Village of Lincolnwood Trustee (12 years), Plan Commission/Zoning Board member (three years), and has served on the R.E.D Center (Regional Emergency Dispatch) as both a Board Member and Chairperson (five years).
