SCB is seeking talented Intermediate Designers/Architects to join our Los Angeles office. We’re a national, multi-disciplinary design firm with a focus on multi-family residential, academic, and aviation projects.

We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about design, collaborative by nature, and possess an intermediate understanding of building materials, systems, detailing, and construction methods. You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated professionals during all phases of project development.
The Role
We’re hiring several team members to contribute to exciting projects across California. Responsibilities include:
- Implementing project design philosophy and working toward the successful execution of the project through design and construction phases
- Developing design and technical drawings, visualizations, and studies in collaboration with project leaders
- Designing, drafting, rendering, and the creation of digital and physical models
- Managing time and organizing tasks effectively to meet project deadlines, including oversight of junior team members
- Collaborating with team members and communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders, including direct coordination with design consultants, contractors, clients and other stakeholders
- Demonstrating knowledge of building materials, construction systems, detailing, and basic construction methods
- Applying basic zoning, building, and accessibility codes to assigned work
- Seeking guidance when needed, while also showing initiative in problem-solving
- Supporting the project and studio team with a positive, team-first attitude and a willingness to learn
Your Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 5–10 years of post-graduate full-time architectural experience, preferably with multifamily or aviation projects
- Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Sketchup or Rhino, and Affinity Publisher/Photo or Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work from the El Segundo office up to four days per week
- Architectural license preferred

- Salary: $80,000 – $110,000, commensurate with experience
