Hanover Montrose

The design approach began with the client’s request for stone and other hard surfaces as a primary material. SCB used this as a foundation, pairing richly textured stone with warm wood accents to create a balance of luxury and comfort. The contrast between hard and soft tones gives the building a distinctive, residential feel while maintaining a refined, contemporary aesthetic.

The centerpiece of the interior experience is the lobby’s glass-enclosed conference room, known as the “jewel box.” This dramatic feature celebrates materiality, with stone-clad walls and carefully detailed finishes that make it a focal point of the entry sequence. Stone continues as a defining element throughout the building, including a sculptural installation on the ninth-floor amenity level, creating a sense of continuity and sophistication.

The amenity spaces feature a relaxed, yet elevated atmosphere. The interiors’ clean, neutral color palettes are accented by statement light fixtures and curated art pieces, lending each space a distinctive character. The project has over 15,000-square-feet of spa-like amenities, including a rooftop pool deck with cabanas, open-air loggia with dining areas, arts studio with dedicated storage, cold storage room, wine vault with private lockers, business center, fitness center, pet wash station, and theater.

Within the residential units, ranging from studios to two bedrooms, ten-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and energy-efficient lighting create bright, airy living spaces. Finishes such as granite countertops and solar shades contribute to a polished, modern environment. Every corner of the building is carefully detailed, resulting in a community that stands out in the Houston market and elevates Hanover’s brand of multifamily living.
