With 25+ years of experience in architecture, Karin Lucas is a Technical Director and Associate Principal at SCB where she has built a portfolio of award-winning work, ranging from complex mixed-use developments to multifamily residential and hospitality projects.

Karin’s approach to successful project delivery incorporates quality control and assurance initiatives with design. Developing innovative solutions for complex construction issues has earned her a reputation among clients for exceptional project delivery. In her many years as a Project Architect and Project Manager, Karin has garnered an understanding of various project considerations, from client, consultant, and contractor relations to entitlements, core and unit planning, and exterior wall design. Her notable projects include 4 East Elm, a 24-story luxury condominium tower in Chicago’s Gold Coast; 5252, a 26-story apartment tower in Hyde Park; and the renovation of The Morris Inn at the University of Notre Dame.

Karin is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). She earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ball State University.
