Four SCB projects have been named finalists in the 2026 AIA Chicago Design Excellence Awards: The Bell, Hallstar Headquarters, the O’Hare Terminal 5 Parking Garage, and SCB’s Chicago Office.

The recognition reflects the range of work across our practice, from repositioning a downtown office tower through a new amenity experience and creating workplaces that translate organizational identity into the built environment, to delivering infrastructure that reshapes the arrival experience at one of the world’s busiest airports. While distinct in scale and typology, the projects share an approach to design that carries the larger architectural vision through to material and detail.

Selected by a jury of design professionals, the finalists represent projects advancing architectural design in Chicago and beyond. For a firm founded and headquartered in Chicago, recognition from AIA Chicago carries particular significance, reflecting our continued contribution to the city’s design culture and built environment.
