Public Participation and Engagement
Community participation is a crucial part of the planning process. Gathering input and establishing dialogue with members of the community helps to determine realistic priorities of critical issues, goals, and approaches to new development and implementation strategies. During the planning process, SCB generates a variety of planning alternatives for consideration by the community. Using various methods, feedback from the public is solicited and given serious consideration. The members of the neighborhood help to shape the eventual project outcome. These outcomes can be conveyed in the form of design guidelines, planning concepts, redevelopment and implementation strategies for establishing a future vision for the area. Our philosophy focuses on reaching consensus on the plan recommendations and community priorities through workshop settings.
